The lower section, including the citadel, is first 100 mm thick and then 30 mm thick. If you want to know a bit more about the plan Z, I recommend to you this video from Drachinifel: (Also because Hitler thought it to be a great idea to start the war while the navy was nowhere near ready instead of waiting a couple more years like it was initially planned. In the end, no ship was ever built due to a lack of resources and the higher priority of building U-boats. Finally, 2 triple torpedo launchers were also planned with 1 on each side. It would have been completed with a secondary armament composed of a mix of 150 mm and 105 mm guns in twin turrets. The class main armament would consist if 3 twin 380 mm turrets (the same as the Bismarck-class) with 2 super-firing at the front and one at the rear. They were planned to attack the transport or merchant ships while a proper battleship and its escort would keep the defending units busy. These ships were designed for commerce raiding. The O-class was a planned class of 3 battlecruisers for the Kriegsmarine as part of the so-called “plan Z” alongside things like the H-class battleships for example. After a LOT of complaints from the German community about the lack of German premiums, looks like Wargaming dug up the Kriegsmarine’s plan Z to bring us the O-class battlecruiser (to not mix up with the P-class that were just big Deutschland-class for bigger fuel reserves).
